Chrysler & Dodge special editions for 2010
Chrysler had a tough time last year, undergoing a bankruptcy, a takeover by Fiat, and a partial buyout by the U.S. government. Therefore, they have absolutely no new models for the 2010 model year. However, Chrysler has now introduced special editions of existing models in the States, to spruce things up.
Among the Chrysler-badged special editions, the 300 S8 is the most interesting, still powered by a 5.7L V8, but now with bigger 20-inch alloy wheels and a dressed-up interior with sporty-bolstered seats. The V6 version is called the 300 S6.
Dodge gets its own special models, among them the ridiculously-named Nitro Detonator, with special alloy wheels, monotone paintjob and an exterior sticker package, among other minor mods. Another special model is the Dodge Viper ACR with simply a new color scheme, celebrating what is the last hurrah for the halo model that will die out in a year.
The cars will debut at the upcoming 2010 Chicago Auto Show.
