Ferrari 458 Italia fires investigated for sponteneous combustion
There is a lot of hype over the investigation into 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee models over it catching fire, but only when rear-ended due its rear-mounted fuel tank. Only 44 cases have been reported among the 2.3 million sold. In contrast, the Ferrari 458 Italia has been on sale for only a few months now, and maybe 200 are estimated to be on the streets so far. And 10 have already gone up in flames, one even while sitting in a warehouse doing nothing. Continue reading »

2010 Suzuki Kizashi dragster sets speed record video
Piloting American Suzuki Motor Corporation’s modified 2010 Suzuki Kizashi Bonneville Special, Road & Track’s Sam Mitani injected the Kizashi into the record books (and himself in the 200 mph club) with his 203.720 mph run at this year’s Bonneville Speed Week, exceeding the previous record of 202.301 mph. Despite a multitude of records – and record attempts – achieved by Suzuki motorcycle riders, this was the first official crack at the Bonneville Salt Flats by American Suzuki’s automotive arm. Porsche Panamera Powerkit and Sport Design options

GM recalling 243,000 crossovers for seat-belt issue
