Abu Dhabi offers Arizona Sun Rolls-Royce Ghost

Abu Dhabi’s Rolls-Royce dealer has announced the arrival of a world exclusive and unique Rolls-Royce to the region – the ‘Arizona Sun’ Ghost. The first Bespoke Ghost commission to be released from Goodwood in the Arizona Sun exterior colour, this exceptional car was sold directly upon arrival to the showroom in Abu Dhabi.

With its design reflecting the smouldering hues of the Arizona desert coupled with the black contrast of its tan leather interior, the new model has sparked strong interest amongst Rolls-Royce’s oil-rich Abu Dhabi clientele, who are notorious for ordering the richest bespoke specifications in the entire world

The Bespoke Programme, which has the highest global uptake in this region and has been met with overwhelming success, is a service offered to Rolls-Royce clients whereby the client may specify features of the car, in order to create one’s own, unique model. The Bespoke team at Goodwood is dedicated to finding new paints, materials and engineering solutions in order to find new ways to develop truly unique and exceptional cars.

Rolls-Royce’s latest model is a vision of simplicity, taking the core values of Rolls-Royce and creating contemporary effortless luxury. Achieving a new dynamism while remaining true to its heritage, the Bespoke Ghost commission projects a more informal presence than the Phantom with greater emphasis on driving.

Preserving the prerequisite levels of comfort while delivering the most modern, dynamically interesting drive ever in a Rolls-Royce, the Ghost is powered by a brand new, 6.6L twin-turbo V12 engine, unique to the Ghost model. Featuring direct injection, it produces 563 hp – enough to propel Ghost from 0-60 mph in just 4.7 seconds and on to an electronically governed top speed of 155 mph.

The Ghost is the most powerful car that Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has ever produced. However, Rolls-Royce power is delivered in a very different manner to other cars. It moves in an elegant, cosseting way that some have described as being designed to lower the pulse, not raise it. This unique delivery of power has become an engineering signature, seemingly effortless and endless.

The design of the Ghost is founded in simplicity and elegance. Inspired by the 1930’s, including its contempary furniture, architeture, yachts and spirit – its sense of adventure and endeavour – Ghost exudes an informal aura, blending flowing lines and powerful definition with traditional Rolls-Royce design cues such as elevated prow and long bonnet.

This Bespoke commission was designed in-house and developed on site by craftsmen at the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars plant in Goodwood, England.
