2014 Porsche 911 GT3 revealed at the Geneva Motor Show
Porsche has officially unveiled the 911 GT3 at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
The GT3 distinguishes itself from the standard 911 with a more aggressive front bumper and optional LED headlamps. Looking at the rear, the rear fenders are wider and the GT3 gets a new rear bumper featuring a centre-mounted dual exhaust system. The GT3 rides on 20-inch forged alloy wheels. The interior has the option of leather or Alcantara seats and an Alcantara wrapped steering wheel with red stitching.
Powering the GT3 is 3.8L 6-cylinder boxer engine which produces 475 bhp and 324 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This is enough to take it from 0-62 mph in 3.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 195 mph.
For the first time in a Porsche, the GT3 will feature a rear-wheel steering system, where the rear wheels move in the same direction or opposite direction to improve its handling agility.
