Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 to debut at Geneva Motor Show
Italian supercar maker, Lamborghini is planning to celebrate its 50th anniversary by releasing a special model. Lamborghini’s CEO Stephan Winkelmann had previously indicated it won’t be a new model or a revival of an old model. True enough, it will be a limited edition Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 which will be revealed at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show.
As for the numbers in the name, it is pretty obvious it means the 6.5-litre V12 engine will be tuned to pump out 720 bhp, and will sit on an all-wheel drive platform. Lamborghini will do a few cosmetic add-ons on the LP720-4 such as a special paintjob and stick on a few carbon-fibre pieces here and there.
Price of the Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 will be about 20-25% more than the regular model. A regular one costs about $387,000 so you do the math.
