2013 Aston Martin Rapide S officially revealed

The Aston Martin Rapide S was officially revealed. It packs more punch than the outgoing Rapide model, hence the ‘S’ at the end. As for the design, it is just a facelift.

The 5.9L V12 engine produces 558 bhp and 457 lb-ft of torque, an increase of 81 hp and 15 lb-ft more. This is enough to send the Rapide S from 0-62 mph in 4.9 seconds, 0.3 seconds faster, and gives it a top speed of 306 kph.

Even though the Rapide S packs more oomph, it is also more efficient than its pre-facelifted variant, with reduced CO2 emission numbers. Fuel economy is rated at a combined 20 mpg.

The exterior is the same as the old one, except for the change in the front grille, which is bigger, and the rear trunk spoiler.

The 2013 Aston Martin Rapide S is going on sale in the U.K. next month. Price is expected to be the same of around $237,420.
