Toyota Camry highest selling sedan in 2012, Honda Accord 2nd
Despite all the negative press and the spat of recalls for Toyota, the Camry continued strong sales. It was the top selling-sedan of 2012.
However, the Toyota Camry was 3rd in the overall list of the top ten selling vehicles in the U.S. as the Ford F-Series and Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra continue their dominance in sales. The Camry sold 404,886 units. 4th was the Honda Accord, selling 331,872 units. Despite all the criticism of the Honda Civic’s looks, it remained a popular buy, coming in at 5th on the table with 317,909 units. It was a good year for Honda, as the CR-V was also in the list at number 9. Nissan Altima was 6th overall, selling 302,934 units and the Toyota Corolla was at 8th position, having sold 290,947 cars.
