First 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray sells for $ 1.1m
The first 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray fetched $1.1m at the Barrett Jackson auction.
The car was bought by Rick Hendrik, owner of the largest Chevrolet dealer in the U.S. The C7 Corvette will have a Vin ending in #0001. All the money will go to the College for Creative Studies.
The car is already creating more hype than the SRT Viper revealed last year. The first Viper just fetched $300,000 at the auction last year. One would have thought the Viper would be the more popular one, since it came back to production after a two-year exodus. However Chevrolet’s clever marketing and launch at the Detroit Auto Show has shot the C7’s popularity sky high.
