Aston Martin has unveiled a new “motorsport-inspired” special edition of their V8 Vantage. Dubbed the Vantage N420, it is nearly bog-standard but with some carbon-fiber body panels to cut weight by 60 lbs.

The Vantage N420 has the standard 420 hp 4.7L, available as a Coupe or Roadster, and comes with a 6-speed manual or optional Sportshift automated manual transmission.

On the outside, changes include a carbon-fiber splitter, side strakes and diffuser, 10-spoke alloy wheels with gloss black finish, black mesh vents and a ‘Graphitic’ tailpipe.

Inside the Vantage N420, standard is an Iridium interior package, with graphite instruments, leather or Alcantara steering wheel, special N420 sill plaques and lightweight carbon-fiber seats, complete with ‘Race Track’ stitching as in the V12 Vantage. Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control and Park Distance Control are also standard.

A further option is a new range of Aston Martin ‘Race Collection’ paint schemes for the grille and door surrounds, in cheesy colours such as ‘Rose’ yellow, ‘Kermit’ green, ‘Elwood’ blue and ‘Racing’ green, as well as just black as seen in the first N420.
