2005-2006 Infiniti G35 recalled for airbag fault
Nissan’s Infiniti arm has announced the recall of 134,000 G35 sedan and coupe models. The recall covers 2005-2006 model-year sedans and 2005-2007 model-year coupes due to potentially faulty airbags.
According to the NHTSA, the recall is due to a wire harness that could wear over time, interrupting the electrical signal to the vehicle’s airbags. If that situation occurs, the airbags might not deploy in the event of a crash.
Nissan has yet to announce the official details of the recall, including when a fix will be available to dealers. Nissan informed the NHTSA of the problem two weeks ago. No injuries or crashes have been linked to the recall.
