2013 BMW Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo set for Geneva Motor Show
The 2013 Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo, based on the new BMW 3-Series F30 model, is set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show this month.
Alpina has tweaked the twin turbocharged 3.0L inline 6-cylinder engine to produce a massive 410 bhp between 5,500 rpm and 7,000 rpm, while torque jumps to 442 lb-ft. The engine is mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. This will send the B3 from 0-62 mph in 4.2 seconds and gives it a top speed of 190 mph. Fuel economy is rated at a combined 30.9 mpg.
Alpina also plans to launch an all-wheel drive model of the B3 Bi-Turbo soon, only in left-hand drive.
