After taking a break for the summer, the auto show season is in full swing again. The 2005 Frankfurt International Auto Show, also known as IAA, ran from the 15th to the 25th of September. Among the largest motor shows in the world, notable releases included the debut of the new S-Class and the Maybach 57S, plus the R63 and the ML63 AMG from Mercedes-Benz, the near-production Z4 Coupe and the V8-powered 650Ci from BMW, the Cayman S from Porsche, the new XK sports car from Jaguar, and numerous convertibles from the likes of Nissan, Opel, Volvo, Bentley, Volkswagen and even Lamborghini. New SUVs included the new RAV-4 from Toyota, the new Vitara from Suzuki, and the all-new Q7 from Audi. Souped-up cars also made their presence felt, with cars such as the Brabus Rocket and the AC Schnitzer M6 Tension stealing the show.
